Making More Wax

I learned about prototyping. So I am going to keep track of the different wax recipes I make.

I am going to use some ducks and lego bricks to represent the different hockey waxes I prototype. This way I now which wax I use and I can compare the waxes and improve the recipe over time.

I also wrote down each recipe in my notebook and wrote the color of the duck or lego that went into the wax. I am going to take each wax to the rink and try them out, to see if they are good and see what I need to improve on in the recipe of the wax.

Then I am going to give some to my teammates and my friends, and see what they say about the wax.

Here is what they look like:

Making Hockey Stick Wax

I decided to make my own hockey stick wax. I started to create my own recipe. I wanted something that was really sticky but wouldn’t freeze or melt. I also wanted to make it rub on the stick. I also wanted to make sure the wax didn’t make my tape job all brown and yucky, like a booger.

It turns out it is harder than you think. I found out that it was really hard not to burn the wax. I found out you can’t just use any wax. You have to use a unique combination of wax to make it rub white on your stick, rub easy onto the stick, make it sticky, and make it so id doesn’t freeze or melt.

Here is a picture of some of my recipes they are not so good but I made some progress with each recipe I made. I used the old wax and it wasn’t good. I’ll keep making more.
